Gaberdine has a history going back hundreds of years, but functionality has always been at the core. An impossibly tight weave yields a natural water repellent property that's usually only possible via chemical treatments. It's been a workhorse fabric, ranging from military uniforms to some of the most storied rain coats. This version from Japan takes it a step further to make a gaberdine that's functional and luxurious. The base is an ultra fine, tightly constructed fine 7 ounces. Then comes the silk. This is one of our highest silk blends to date. The result is a feel unlike anything we've experienced. It's extremely smooth and supple with a touch of the classic gaberdine luster. There is absolutely no stretch - a nod to the style's unique construction and functional properties. A wearable pant with luxurious and functional DNA.
