A finer representation of Sashiko that pays homage to a historically significant sewing technique. Light in weight, but incredibly rich in character and in a truly rare selvedge composition. This is the Sashiko Superlight Selvedge.
Note: We recommend going up one size in this fabric.
The inspiration for this style is the traditional Sashiko sewing technique. Used as a functional sewing technique for repairs and decorative effects, Sashiko is respected for its handmade style, prominent stitching and patterning effects. This style uses a Dobby weave to recreate the stitch style. A geometric box pattern is rendered in a ticking stitch style. This grid is punctuated by more prominent cross-hatch marks throughout. Colors bring the style to life in a tonal blue palette with white pops for contrast. A feathery light 5 ounce weight and gauzy feel make this fabric art a joy to wear. A thick white selvedge ID is the perfect finishing touch.

"So grateful for this brand! Love the fit, finish, and quality of everything I've ever bought from here. Moreover, the pricing enables people like me to have access to quality goods which are often outside of the reach of the most working people."

"My 1968s came in the mail yesterday…They're amazing! From the fit (thank you for all the hand-holding!) to the detailing, I'm blown away. Just tremendous quality at any price point, but the value here is off the charts."

"About a year ago, a coworker introduced me to Gustin (he rocks some of your pants to the office on the regular) and I have been watching the releases ever since. About three months ago, I finally backed a campaign. Since then, I have been so happy with all the pieces I have received."
