We decided to design something to pair with our great denim. The logical next step was the perfect belt. Here is the Gustin Classic Belt. Its style goes perfectly with our raw denim - classic, tough and clean. Of course, like our denim, our belt gets the same obsessive attention to craftsmanship and detail. It uses a natural vegetable tanned harness leather, which will age into a beautiful golden brown over time. It’s a substantial 9/10 ounce weight sourced from a tannery that uses all domestic steers.
We pay special attention to the finish as we do on all our products. The strap is edged, burnished with beeswax, and finished with a traditional English point. We use a solid brass center bar buckle that gets tumbled to tarnish the nickel finish subtly. It’s secured with two solid chicago screws, so you can change your buckle if you want. We’re super excited to make this belt in California.
If you look around, belts of this quality and design are typically much higher. If we had to sell at retail and guess which style you wanted, we would be stuck doing the same. Fortunately, we’re not, which means you get a top quality product for a radical price.
