A unique basket weave is the perfect showcase for rich, inky indigo dye. This is the Japan Indigo Basket Weave 5 Pocket.
The start is a classic basket weave that crosses multiple warp and weft yarns to form a small checkerboard effect. It's a fresh look created by a very old-school weave. The basket weave is enhanced by the use of indigo dye. Inky and deep blue, with some yarns slightly lighter to create the most subtle blue heather effect. What makes this style even better is how you can feel the texture on the surface of the fabric. It has a loose, openness to it that gives it great movement and suppleness even at a solid 12 ounce weight. Pure technique and rich color make for a standout garment.
