You will think you just picked up a brick, but it's just your new selvedge denim investment. We commissioned this custom run of monster denim that we've never offered before. Massive weight denim is not for the faint of heart. It represents a challenge for the true lover of selvedge. Put in the wear-in work and in time you end up with something very special and unique to you. The way this weight class of fabric breaks in and molds to your body is a thing of beauty - like that perfectly broken in baseball glove from childhood that you never wanted to give up. The version starts with a pure, creamy natural color. You can fancy it up with a button down, or treat it like a rugged painter's outfit with a tattered T-shirt. One glance at this selvedge and the beastly yarn jumps out. It literally looks like burly rope was used to weave this denim. The twill line is downright huge. We opted for a slightly lower starch finish and that, combined with the monster weight, results in an all cotton fabric that takes on a soft, leather-like density and movement. You feel bomb-proof in these pants. Nothing other than a classic red ID would be appropriate as the finishing touch. Invest the time and you'll be greatly rewarded.
