#1365 Japan Organic Dobby Grid Shirt - Graphite

We like our shirting fabrics to have character. Sometimes it's a pattern or color. Sometimes it's a print. Today is about a refined texture that's created through weaving technique. A dobby weave allows this mill in Japan to create a subtle grid pattern that's integrated into the fabric itself. You see it and can even feel it. Just enough texture to let you know this is no ordinary shirting fabric. Woven with pure organic cotton, the finish is soft and luxurious. Refined, classic fabric craft. The colors are hard to beat - pick your favorite.

Our short sleeve button-up fits just like the long sleeve. It shares the same beautifully tailored body, not too slim, but fitted. High armholes keep the body lines clean. A very gently scooped bottom hem that works wonderfully un-tucked or tucked. A no-button collar that’s perfectly sized to sit well.

We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. All our closures are made from true mother of pearl. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. A rounded chest pocket completes the front.
