The ultimate form of an already rare chambray. This unique style from Japan combines a classic selvedge chambray base with pops of color.
This style uses cotton chambray cloth from one of the finest mills in Japan. Our rainbow nep chambrays have been one of the standout shirting styles we offer. Now, to make it even better, we found a selvedge version. It starts with the shade, a deep indigo that tilts slightly to the navy spectrum. It's a great shade with denim or chinos. Next comes the feel. Extra soft is an understatement. This is the type of shirting you can really live in. Finally comes the special part. Woven into the warp are small specks of color - reds, greens, blues, yellows. On this indigo version it's nice and subtle. You can make out these irregular dots of color, but the shirt remains classic. This shirt hits all the right notes and takes a classic style to the next level.
We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. All our closures are made from true mother of pearl. A finely folded locker loop sits over a box pleat on the back yoke. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. An angular chest pocket completes the front. Our cuffs are double button with rounded corners.
We now offer all our shirts in three fits: slim, classic and tall.
Button downs that are made in the USA using our quality of material and construction are typically priced at $175 to $300. The Gustin model, with your support, lets us do much better.
