#597 The Beast Red Fire

"These Jeans are “Super Nice”…. The redness is understated, so it still looks like a pair of blue jeans, but with a little pop. The heft of the denim makes you feel like you are wearing armor, but it’s not uncomfortable. Naturally A+ crafting. Sizing is of course always a challenge with Gustin, but I bought a waist stretcher for like $20 off of Amazon. I put the jeans on the stretcher then soaked it with hot water. Then gradually turned the screw on the waistband….viola, a perfect fit. I can always give them to my son… 6’2” 150, if Kathy accidentally washes them…;) Gustin are a funny bunch, the site says they don’t use “vanity sizing” I call it “inverse vanity” a “34 Straight”fits basically like a “33 slim” So those in the know might smugly state “I wear a 34, even in Gustin”. The shirts are even more ridiculously snug, but again, once you find your size…mine is the comically contradictory “XXL Slim”…you’ll have a winner. In gustins defense they fit like my favorite Japanese brand, Iron Heart, so good company if you are like me and like to spend $1000s each year on clothes that are just a little snug, but well made. And if I buy them used off of eBay or whatever and the chowderhead who had it first made the mistake of washing it?…all bets are off. I got a used standard Gustin Cone denim work shirt (XXL Slim label) it’s a medium now and my old lady wears it for gardening. Still I struggle on. Shoving my Classic American Physique into Wokely Sized apparel, better than buying Chinese under any circumstance. Chef Pete Coleman (Die Hard Gustin Fan)"
