The inspiration for this style is the traditional Sashiko sewing technique. Used as a functional sewing technique for repairs and for decorative effects, Sashiko is respected for its handmade style, prominent stitching and patterning effects. This style uses a Dobby weave to recreate the prominent stitch and geometric lines and then dials up the texture to absolutely beautiful levels. Imagine the plushest cotton rope interlaced together to create a hand woven look, huge texture and flowing feel. That's what we have here.
