#613 Indigo Sashiko Selvedge

The inspiration for this style is the traditional Sashiko sewing technique. Used as a functional sewing technique for repairs and decorative effects Sashiko is respected for its handmade style, prominent stitching and patterning effects. This style uses a Dobby weave to recreate the prominent stitch and geometric lines and then dials up the texture to absolutely beautiful levels. A highly wearable 8 ounce weight lends this version true versatility. The color is a bright, cobalt indigo. Finally, a double wide, white selvedge ID shows off the truly rare form of this fabric. From style to real technique, this is a good one.
